Terms of use

Updated October 25, 2026

Version 2026-10

These terms apply to the Gawazy website (gawazy.com) and the Gawazy apps, operated by Mount Wolf for Information Technology, 53 Hassan Al Sherif St., Nasr City 11765, Cairo, Egypt, commercial register no. 10530 01001 58109 ("Gawazy", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Gawazy you accept these terms, the privacy policy and the community and content rules. Businesses also accept the business terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Gawazy.

1. What Gawazy is

Gawazy is a guide and marketplace where businesses that offer wedding and event services ("businesses") present their services, and people planning an event ("customers") find, compare, save and contact them by phone, WhatsApp or chat on Gawazy.

  • Gawazy is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a business. Bookings, prices, payments, deposits, cancellations and the quality of the service are agreed between them directly, outside Gawazy.
  • Gawazy takes no bookings, deposits or payments between customers and businesses, and never asks a customer to pay through Gawazy. If anyone asks you to pay "through Gawazy", report it.
  • Prices shown by businesses are information from the business, not an offer by Gawazy.
  • We review businesses and their content before they are published, but we do not guarantee a business's services, licences, prices, availability or conduct. Check what matters to you before you pay anyone.

2. Who can use Gawazy

You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. A business account must be opened by a person allowed to act for that business.

3. Your account

  • Give true, current information: your real name and an e-mail address that you confirm with the code or link we send.
  • One personal account per person. Keep your password secret; we recommend turning on two-step verification.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at once at [email protected] if you think someone else used it.
  • You can delete your account at any time (website: Account → Security; app: Account → Delete account). What happens to your data: your data rights and account deletion.

4. Customers

  • Ratings and reviews must describe your own real experience. One rating per item, which you can edit; public text is checked before it appears, and you can add a private note that only the business sees.
  • Chats with a business branch must be about a real request. An inquiry card (date, guests, the price shown at that moment) is an inquiry only, not a reservation.
  • Your phone number reaches a business only if you write it in a message. You can edit or delete a message for 15 minutes after sending it; images in chats are deleted after 180 days.
  • Collections you share by link can be seen by anyone who has the link, until you switch the link off.

5. Businesses

Businesses list for free within the free plan's limits and follow the business terms, which also cover Gawazy's paid products (sponsored placements, banners and storage plans) and refunds. Sponsored content is always labelled "مميز / Sponsored".

6. What you post

You keep the rights to what you post (text, photos, videos, reviews, comments). You give Gawazy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for as long as the content is on Gawazy, to host, copy, resize, convert (for example videos into formats phones can play), display and distribute it on Gawazy and to show it when promoting Gawazy. You confirm that you have the rights to what you post and that the people shown in it agreed. What may and may not be posted: community and content rules. Claims that content uses someone's work without permission: copyright claims policy.

7. Moderation, reports and decisions

  • We may review, hide or remove content, and limit, suspend or close accounts that break these terms, the community rules or the law. We tell you the reason, except where the law or someone's safety prevents it.
  • Anyone can report content with the "Report" button. Content reported by several people may be hidden until a moderator decides.
  • You can block a person; they can no longer write to you or comment on your content.
  • If you disagree with a decision, write to support (Account → Support); a different team member reviews it.

8. Gawazy's rights

The Gawazy name, logo, design and software belong to Mount Wolf for Information Technology. You may not use them without our written permission, except to share links to pages on Gawazy. You may not copy Gawazy's content in bulk (scraping), test or break its security without our written permission, or interfere with how it works.

9. Other services

Gawazy links to services we do not control, such as WhatsApp, phone calls, maps, Google or Apple sign-in and app stores. Their own terms apply when you use them.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Gawazy available and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features; for important changes to what you use we tell you first.

11. Liability

  • Gawazy is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for agreements between customers and businesses, for the services businesses provide, or for losses caused by content posted by users.
  • Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 or other rules that cannot be excluded by agreement.
  • Towards businesses, and to the extent the law allows, Gawazy's total liability for its paid products is limited to the amount the business paid Gawazy in the 12 months before the claim. This limit never applies to consumers or to cases where the law does not allow a limit.

12. Your responsibility

If you break these terms or the law and this causes a claim against Gawazy, you agree to cover the costs and damages that result, to the extent the law allows.

13. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Gawazy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with a reason, and keep data only as the privacy policy describes.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes we tell you by e-mail or a notice on Gawazy at least 14 days before they apply; you may delete your account before then. If you keep using Gawazy after that, the new terms apply.

15. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including the Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018, the Electronic Signature Law No. 15 of 2004 and the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020. Disputes are settled by the competent courts of Cairo, without affecting consumers' right to complain to the Consumer Protection Agency.
