Copyright claims against your content
What happens when someone says your photos are theirs, and how to appeal.
Updated October 16, 2026
If someone reports that your content uses their work without permission, a Gawazy reviewer checks the claim. Content is not removed only because a claim was sent. You see open cases in Copyright cases.

The reviewer may:
- reject the claim (nothing changes),
- hide the content while the case is reviewed, or
- remove it.
You can appeal once: explain why the content may stay (for example, you took the photos or have the photographer's permission) and press Send appeal. A reviewer decides.
Publish only your own work, or work you have permission to use: you confirm this every time you publish.
