Notifications and e-mails
What Gawazy notifies you about, and how to choose promotions.

The bell in the header shows your notifications: replies in your chats, review results, news from businesses you follow. Mark all as read clears the count.
Settings
In Notifications → Notification settings you choose:
- likes, comments, replies and new work from businesses you follow (in the app);
- new stories from businesses you follow (in the app): off until you turn it on;
- offers and news from Gawazy by e-mail and in the app.
Promotions are sent only if you turn them on, and you can turn them off at any time. Messages about your account (security, review results) are always sent.
Muting a business (on its page) stops all its notifications, whatever these settings say.
Notifications on your phone
The Gawazy app asks your phone's permission only after explaining why, for example after your first chat message ("get a notification when the business replies"). You can also turn them on later in Account → Notifications → Notifications on this phone; if you refused before, the button opens your phone's settings.
On the lock screen a notification only says what happened ("Hall replied to your message"); the message itself, and any reason, open inside the app. Tapping a notification opens the chat or page it is about. Signing out stops notifications for your account on that phone.
